How to Establish Good Study Habits
Studying to ace a test isn’t a good study habit. Generally, that information was just memorized. Establishing good study habits allows students to succeed in the classroom by studying in ways that help them digest and apply the content. In this workshop, I teach on the self-regulated learning theory (Zimmerman, 1998), where educators learn strategies to implement skills in their classrooms.
3 Key Takeaways:
How do I define “success” for my students?
What academic triggers do I bring that may harm my learners’ classroom experience?
How can I help my students self-regulate and prioritize their tasks?
Studying doesn’t happen only in school. Adults study various ways to operate their businesses, improve their relationships with their spouses and children, as well as different opportunities to invest in their future. How beneficial will it be for children to learn to establish good study habits early in life?!
