how to establish good study habits

Studying to ace a test isn’t a good study habit. Generally, that information was just memorized. Establishing good study habits allows students to succeed in the classroom by studying in ways that help them digest and apply the content. In this workshop, I teach on the self-regulated learning theory (Zimmerman, 1998), where students learn strategies to implement strong study skills in their daily life.

3 Key Takeaways:

  1. How do I define “success”?

  2. What academic triggers have I developed that harm my learning journey?

  3. How can I self-regulate and prioritize my tasks?

Studying doesn’t happen only in school. Adults study various ways to operate their businesses, improve their relationships with their spouses and children, as well as different opportunities to invest in their future. How beneficial would it be for children to learn to establish good study habits early in life?!
